Selling DIY

Why your creative products/services are not selling.

CONGRATULATIONS!

You have created a beautiful, sexy, one of a kind Service/Product and everyone who saw it agrees with you and told you to sell them and they promised to buy, so you’re pumped and have created that page and posted those pictures with a catchy title and any minute now they will be knocking your doors down…

In 1,2,3…. not yet….. no one 😢

How do I know exactly how you feel right now?

Because I have been there and still going through it every so often, because this is not happening to you alone, its actually vey common with every creator, either for content, products or services who have chosen to share with the world their art.

So what could be the problem?

These are some of the top 3 reasons why your Products, services are not selling.

  1. You have created with YOU in mind.

I know its your baby, your creation, your heart and soul.

If you want to make some money out of it, you have to make it for THEM. They will buy, they will use, they will recommend others to you, so create with the end user in mind.

2. Your product is too unique

Unless its something revolutionary that only you can see, (now be honest here) that will change the world, true it will be new, very new and never seen before, but if someone else is doing it , then please keep it SIMPLE.

If your customers cant figure out how to use it and need to read a manual (which we know they don’t) they will not buy more of it. Make it user friendly and convenient.

People will pay for convenience.

3.You are not visible.

How can we buy, when we don’t know you are selling.

Tell people what you are doing, show them what you have made and are selling, the questions about the products they will ask will actually help you improve it, tweak it and even price it better.

Go out there, mix with other creators, see what they are doing, attend fairs and industry events.

Search for other similar businesses online and see what they are doing and how they are doing it, not so that you copy them but so that you get inspired and get enlightend.
